Jasper, near Lake Sam Rayburn in east Texas, is about 100 miles northeast of Houston. This area of Texas is known as the "Jewel of the Forest," for its proximity to national forests and national recreation areas, including Sabine National Forest, with backpacking, hiking and the Indian Mounds Recreation Area, and Angelina National Forest, which has camping and swimming.

Magnolia Ridge

Magnolia Ridge has sites that include full hookups, tent pads and selected spots for those with towed campers. Amenities include showers, a playground, store, laundry and a dump station. There are hiking trails and nature walks on the premises.

Rayburn RV Hideout

The park is surrounded by pine and oak trees, and offers 22 sites with full hookups and tent pads for primitive camping. The park is near Lake Sam Rayburn, the man-made body of water constructed in 1965. Rayburn RV Hideout is bordered by land maintained and protected by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Hiking trails are available.

Double Heart Ranch and RV Park

The Double Heart Ranch offers accommodations for all campers, including those with horses. The ranch offers Wi-Fi, pull-thru sites for large RVs with full hook-ups for water and sewer, laundry facilities and showers. Double Heart is near Angelina National Forest.
