Petoskey, Michigan, Campgrounds
Petoskey is on the northwest coast of Michigan's lower peninsula on Little Traverse Bay. Campers will find several campgrounds that offer beach access as well as other activities, such as hiking trails and fishing. You'll also many shops and restaurants nearby in downtown Petoskey, including a large casino.

Petoskey-Dunes Campground

Petoskey-Dunes Campground is two miles northeast of downtown Petoskey. It is in the northern portion of the Petoskey State Park and offers 70 camp sites that include electric, picnic tables and fire rings. Facility amenities include restrooms with showers and a nearby RV dump station. This campground is adjacent to the public beach area that contains a beach house with concession stand. Guests also have access to the Old Baldy hiking trail, which runs for a half mile loop in the forest and dunes.

Petoskey-Tannery Creek Campground

Petoskey State Park Tannery Creek Campground is on the southern end of the park and is less then 300 feet from the beach. It offers 98 camp sites and two mini-cabins that include electric, a picnic table and fire ring. Sites are in a private wooded area and include restrooms with showers and a central water filling station. Guests have access to the portage hiking trail which runs 2.5 miles through the forest and dune landscape of the park. The beach house is less then a half mile from the campground and visitors can get there by hiking, biking or car.

Magnus Municipal Park

Magnus Municipal Park is located on the western edge of downtown Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay. It offers 71 camp sites with varying amenities that include electric, water and sewer as well fire pits and picnic tables. Campground also includes restrooms, private showers and dump station. The park has over 1,600 feet of beach for guests to enjoy as well as a small playground. Petoskey City Marina is only a quarter mile away, where guests can launch their boats or fish from the pier.
