Campgrounds Around Bristol, Tennessee
Visitors to the Bristol, Tennessee region have opportunities for outdoor recreation, both above and below ground. The Bristol Caverns and Appalachian Caverns offer visitors underground hiking. The Cherokee National Forest is not far from Bristol and there are many hiking trails for visitors to enjoy. Mountain bikers can ride the single-track trails in the Cherokee National Forest and anglers can try for bass and crappie in the surrounding lakes of the region.

Lakeview RV Park

The Lakeview RV Park has a location on Boone Lake where guests can fish for bass and crappie, or canoe and kayak. There are sites which can accommodate both tents and RVs. Tent sites are on the same sites as RVs but do not have hookups. RV sites can accommodate most sizes of RVs. Hookups include Wi-Fi, water, sewer, cable TV and 30- or 50-amp electric. All guests may use the showers, bathrooms, picnic areas, barbecue areas, and laundry room. Pets are allowed but need to remain leashed while in the park. There is a pet park where four-legged visitors can play off leashes. Visitors can find hiking and biking in the nearby Cherokee National Forest.

Cherokee National Forest

Visitors to the Bristol region may choose to stay at one of the campgrounds in the Cherokee National Forest, especially during the Nascar racing season, as many of the campgrounds in Bristol are geared towards racing fans during the season. The Cherokee has a number of campgrounds available, including those for tent campers and RV campers. Tent sites have level ground and picnic tables. There are also fire-rings for cooking out. RV sites are either primitive or have partial hookups (50-amp electric and water.) All guests can use the pit toilets. There is fresh water for drinking and cooking and RV campgrounds have showers for guest use. Pets must be leashed in the national forest. The Cherokee National Forest has numerous hiking and biking trails, including rock-climbing and fishing.

All American Campgrounds

The All American Campgrounds have sites for both tent campers and RVs. Tent sites have fire-rings, picnic tables and fresh water access. RV sites can accommodate most size RVs and have 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Pets are allowed but must be leashed. All guests can use the barbecue area, laundry room, bathrooms and showers. Nearby South Holston Lake has fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Bird watchers can search for species along the lakes shores and edges.
