RV Parks near Apache Wells, AZ

RV Parks near Apache Wells, AZ
Apache Wells is a retirement community located in the eastern part of Mesa, Arizona, and east Mesa is crammed with RV parks. RV campers coming to the Apache Wells area will find plenty of outdoor activities, as Usery Mountain Regional Park is just a few miles to the north, and Phoenix South Mountain Park is less than 15 miles to the south. However, many of the RV parks around Apache Wells cater either to long-term residents, seniors or both, which can make finding a free RV site problematic. Advance reservations are recommended.

Apache Wells RV Resort

This is the closest RV park to Apache Wells itself, being a little under one city block's distance and in a quiet, suburban setting. Part of the local Cal-Am chain of RV resorts, it has more than 300 RV sites. All sites have full hookups with up to 50-amp electricity. The features and facilities include a computer center and free Wi-Fi hotspots, swimming pool, hot tub, coin laundry, pet run, recreation center, shuffleboard court and crafts shop. Like the neighboring retirement community, Apache Wells RV Resort has an 55-and-older policy, so younger RVers should look elsewhere.

View Point RV and Golf Resort

View Point is a vast RV development that would be better described as a RV neighborhood rather than a park or resort. All of the sites come with full hookups, and there are deluxe sites that are equipped with a storage shed, gas grill, brick patio with furniture, fire pit and privacy fencing. The resort is well-equipped for sports, as it has an 18-hole golf course, softball field and courts for tennis, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball. Given the massive extent of the resort's grounds, it has multiple game rooms, pet runs and craft and hobby workshops. There is also a swimming pool and spa.
