Campgrounds in Lane County, Oregon
Lane County, Oregon enjoys proximity to many outdoor recreation areas and activities. The McKenzie River flows through part of the county and there are opportunities for white-water rafting and kayaking. The Cascade Mountains have many trails for hikers, such as the Brice Creek Trail and the Bohemia Mountain Trail. Mountain bikers have options for trails in the mountains, along the river, and bike-paths in Eugene. There are many options for campgrounds and RV parks in the county.

Eugene Kamping World and RV Park

Eugene Kamping World has sites for tent camping, and RVs. Tent sites have fresh water access, picnic tables and use of grills for cooking out. RV sites have 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer connections. There are hot showers, private toilets, and a laundry room for guest use. Pets are allowed, if leashed. The Pacific Ocean is 60 miles from the campground, where sea-kayakers and scuba divers can find routes and dive sites for their respective sports. The Owen Rose Garden and Hendricks Park have rose and flower gardens for taking a hike and stroll through and are within 15 miles of the campground.

Willamette National Forest

Lane County is part of the Willamette National Forest, which offers several campgrounds within the region for tent camping, RVs and hike-in backpacking style camping. Backcountry permits are needed for the hike-in camp sites and can be obtained from the ranger office or online at recreation.gov. Camp visits are limited to 14 days out of each 60. Pets are allowed in the national forest but must be leashed while in the campgrounds or on trails. Hike-in campgrounds have pit-toilets. Backpackers going into the hike-in sites should bring water purification systems. Front-country RV campgrounds and tent sites have fresh water spigots. There are pit toilets and showers.

Deerwood RV Park

The Deerwood RV Park is "big rig friendly" for those camping with larger RVs. There are tent sites, but the Deerwood is primarily a RV campground. Tent sites have picnic tables and fire-rings. RV sites have 30- and 50-amp electric, sewer and water hookups. There are options for cable TV and Wi-Fi connections. All guests, tent campers or RV, may use the showers, bathrooms, and laundry. The Deerwood has ponds on the grounds with frogs, birds, and other wildlife. Within the city of Eugene there are miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking and trail running.
