Kay's Kamping
Kay's Kamping, which caters to racing fans, is nestled in the heart of Brooklyn. This campground has 125 camp sites on its 20 acres of land. It accommodates tenters as well as RVers, though the hookups for the RVs are limited to water only. The campground is meant to be a short-term residence. The site is secure with security personnel patrolling the area at night. Shoot over to Lake Columbia or Vineyard Lake for boating and hiking trails if racing isn't your fancy.

Kooters Creekside Campground
Kooter Creekside Campground is open to all campers--RVers, tenters and even those who wish to rent cabins on the premises. This campground boasts the closest location to the Michigan International Speedway. The campground also has a large pavilion that often hosts weddings, corporate functions and general meetings. To get away from race craziness, take a walk along the creek running through the campground, or simply set off to Clarke Lake--just a few miles away--for hiking and peaceful solitude.

Juniper Hills
Juniper Hills is another campground that hosts race fans seeking excitement at the Michigan International Speedway. However, the site also includes more than 200 acres of forest land, all of which can be explored on foot or by bike. Amenities include showers, dump stations and a small camp store. Rates are fairly competitive with nearby campgrounds. The race crowd might dominate these local campgrounds, but Juniper Hills is your best bet for on-site outdoor recreation, what with its immense property size and dense forest.
