Lewiston, California, is a small community in the northern part of the state. The Trinity River flows past Lewiston, and the Trinity Alps surround the region. The Trinity River flows into Lewiston Lake, and at the confluence, those who enjoy fly-fishing can try for steelhead, German browns and rainbow trout. There is kayaking, rafting, canoeing, hiking and rock climbing in the area. There are several RV parks in the Lewiston area for those traveling with RVs.

Trinity River Resort and RV Park

As its name suggests, the Trinity River Resort and RV Park is on the banks of the Trinity River. Anglers and fly-fishermen can take advantage of the location and go for trout and steelhead from the campground. Kayakers and canoeists can put in and paddle stretches of the river from the resort, and hikers will find trails surrounding the area. RV sites have 30- and 50-amp electric, water and sewer hookups. Pets are allowed if leashed. Guests can use the showers and bathrooms as well as the on-site laundry room. AAA and Good Sam discounts are available to club members.

Old Lewiston Bridge RV Resort

Bird-watchers can enjoy the location of the Old Lewiston Bridge RV Resort and try to spot the bald eagles, osprey and blue herons that frequent the area. Hikers can walk to the old, single-lane bridge, and mountain bikers will find numerous trails and single-track for knobby-tire riding. The resort has sites for most sizes of RV and full hookups (30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer). Pets are allowed but should remain leashed in the park. There are toilets, showers, laundry room, barbecue pits and picnic tables for guest use. Lewiston Lake is 1.5 miles from the resort, and guests can canoe the lake to try fishing for lake and rainbow trout.

Pine Cove RV Park and Marina

The Pine Cone offers guests Lake Lewiston access from the campground. Guests can launch canoes or kayaks from the marina, and there are boat rentals available as well. Pets are welcome but need to remain leashed. There is fly-fishing and angling, swimming, and hikers can find trails in the surrounding area. The RV park has sites for most size RVs and offers 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer hookups. There are options for cable TV hookups. Bathrooms and showers are on the grounds for guest use.
