River's End Campground and RV Park
Tybee Island is among Georgia's most popular beach destinations, lying just outside of Savannah itself. Rivers End Campground is a coastal campground within a half-mile of the beach. With full-hookup RV sites, tent sites and cabin rentals, the RV park features free cable television and Wi-Fi, air-conditioned bath houses, a swimming pool and laundry facilities.

Skidaway Island State Park
Part of the Georgia state park system, Skidaway Island State Park is situated upon the Skidaway Narrows, part of the Intracoastal Waterway system. Hiking trails wind their way through pristine forest and salt marshes, offering opportunities for wildlife viewing at National Wassaw Wildlife Refuge. An observation tower, and natural and cultural exhibits round out the Skidway Island park's offerings, all within the historic city of Savannah itself, and just a few miles from the beautiful beaches this coastline is known for. For camping, the park offers both tent and RV sites, with water and 30-amp electrical service available. A limited number of sites have 50-amp service available.

Fort McAllister State Park
Located just south of historic Savannah, Fort McAllister Historic State Park is home to the best preserved earthen fortification of the confederacy from the U.S. Civil War. The campground sits along the Great Ogeechee River, and offers hiking, fishing and picnicking. A Civil War museum on premises makes for a unique experience at this park. Tent and RV sites with water and 30-amp electrical service are available. Backcountry camping is allowed at this park also, but backcountry campers do need a permit.
