Breckenridge is west of Dallas and sits in the middle of an area packed with Texas lakes. The surrounding communities are home to many RV parks. Whether you prefer a small, private location or one that allows your family to really stretch out, there are several options that will please your need for outdoor adventure and get you close to your recreation destination.

The Lodge & RV Park

The Lodge & RV Park is located right in Breckenridge. The park has pull-through sites with full hookups, including 30- and 50-amp electric. Cable service is available and pets are welcome. The park sits adjacent to a convenience store that sells ice and fuel. Guests can use the provided burn rings for campfires and share a common pavilion area. The park has no recreational activities, but puts you extremely close to Hubbard Creek Lake, located on the outskirts of town with almost 15,000 acres of water for boating and exploration.

Fox Hollow Resort

Graham is 33 miles northeast of Breckenridge and home to Fox Hollow Resort. The resort has several small cabins and seven RV sites with full hookups. Cable service is provided, but you must supply your own cable wire. The on-site restaurant is a popular local draw. Fox Hollow has a private beach, boat ramp and boat slips. Possum Kingdom Lake State Park is just across the water or 19 miles away by road. The park has a marina and allows boating and skiing on the lake, plus hiking and biking in the Palo Pinto Mountain canyon country and Brazos River Valley.

Wild Country RV Resort

Head 28 miles south of Breckenridge to Cisco and you will find Wild Country RV Resort. The resort has full hookups with 20/30/50 amp service. The pull-throughs are generous, capable of accommodating the largest of RVs and slideouts. The nearby cities of Eastland and Cisco have public pools and golf courses. Lake Cisco is 5 miles north of town and has four large individual arms of water to navigate.

RL RV Park

RL RV Park is 31 miles from Breckenridge. The park is a newer one, constructed around big rig RVs. It offers large pull-through sites--80 feet long--with full hookups and 20/30/50 amp service. The spaces have grassy areas and room for slideouts. Expect to find good antenna television and cell phone reception within the park. The sites leave plenty of room for you to bring along a boat. The park grounds contain a pond, but Lake Leon--also known as Leon Reservoir--is only 5 miles down the road for a larger space to enjoy boating and plenty of smaller coves to explore.
