Florence is a small town on the coast of Oregon with 42 miles of sand dunes, some of which rise 500 feet above sea level. Florence has a historic Old Town district on the Siuslaw River. There are 17 lakes and rivers in the area, along with beaches on the Pacific Ocean. There is hiking on the dunes and in the old-growth inland forests.

Heceta Beach RV Park

The park is a five-minute walk from Heceta Beach. There are pull-thru sites with electric, water and sewer, a dump station and options for tent camping. Amenities include private sites shaded with trees, a meeting room for social functions and meetings, bike rentals and Wi-Fi. Pets are allowed. At Heceta Beach, you can visit Cape Perpetua and hike to the top.

Pacific Pines RV Park

The park has 64 sites, including pull-thru and back-in, with full hookups that have 30- or 50-amp electric and cement pads. Amenities include cable TV, Wi-Fi and a coin-operated laundry. Old Town is within 2 miles and the Heceta Head Lighthouse is 7 miles away. There are dune trips, dune buggy rentals and dune-boarding nearby. Hiking trails are next to the beach.

Woahink Lake RV Resort

The resort is on the shores of Woahink Lake and offers a quiet location. But the town (and the Pacific Ocean) are only a few minutes away. The RV park can accommodate big rigs and has full hookups with 30- and 50-amp electric. Amenities include satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and a game room for kids. The resort is next to the dunes, where you can spend the day hiking and dune-boarding. There is access to Woahink Lake from the resort's dock.
