Pickwick Landing State Park

This state park's forested main campground provides 48 joint RV and tent sites, each with a picnic table and barbecue grill. All sites have water and electrical hook-ups, and sites with up to 50 amps are available. It is serviced by a central bathhouse and dump station. Further accommodations are available in the form of rooms at the park lodge, rental cabins and primitive camp sites on the other side of the lake. Among its other amenities, the state park offers three miles of hiking trails, a boat ramp and marina, fishing, 18-hole golf course, playground, indoor swimming pool and picnic pavilion.

Little Creek Ranch

This working cattle ranch and campground is located about 20 miles southwest of Pickwick Lake. The wooded campground offers 17 RV sites with full hookups, as well as a central services building with showers and a coin laundry. Horseback riding is a major activity at Little Creek Ranch, so it offers stables for RV campers who have a horse trailer in tow. There are also classes on learning to ride, and the ranch offers regular trail rides. Herds of both longhorn cattle and buffalo are kept there, and sightings of wild turkey and deer are frequent occurrences.

Green Acres RV Park

Green Acres RV Park is roughly 10 miles northeast of Pickwick Lake. Its RV sites have full hookups with 30- and 50-amp electrical service. Amenities include a private fishing pond, an outdoor swimming pool, showers, a coin laundry, picnic pavilions and free Wi-Fi access. Discounts are available for members of Escapees RV Club, Happy Camper and the Passport Club.
