Whitehall is located in central Michigan in Muskegon County. Situated on White Lake, Whitehall is five miles east of the Lake Michigan coast. The heavily forested area encompasses the Manistee National Forest, which offers many outdoor recreational opportunities such as fishing, boating, hiking and wildlife viewing. White River RV Park & Campground

White River RV Park & Campground is located approximately five miles from Whitehall, situated in the Manistee National Forest. The campground is open May through October and offers 235 wooded campsites on White River and Sand Creek. Sites include water, 50/30/20-amp service, picnic tables and fire rings. Sites are available to accommodate big rigs and pull-throughs, as well as rustic sites for tent campers. The park offers a dump station, camp store, propane, picnic area, laundry facility, bathhouse and playground, and pets are accepted. Guests can rent canoes, kayaks or rafts at the park, or fish from the banks of the White River or Sand Creek. Anglers and boaters can utilize the boat ramp across the street at Brown Lake.

Oak Knoll Family Campground

Located in the Manistee National Forest and approximately 10 miles from Whitehall is the Oak Knoll Family Campground. The park is open from May through September and offers campers a lush, wooded location. Sites offer water, electric and sewer, water and electric, or electric only and there are rustic sites specifically for tents. Some sites accommodate big rigs, and all come with a picnic table and fire ring. The campground offers various specials, with rentals by the day, week or month. The park offers a playground, bathhouse and camp store. Big Blue Lake is located across the road from the park and offers a boat ramp, fishing opportunities, swimming and hiking. Duke Lake State Park is approximately 15 miles away on Duck Lake and Lake Michigan and offers boating, fishing, swimming and hiking opportunities.

Holiday Camping Resort

Situated on the outskirts of the Manistee National Forest and approximately 10 miles from Whitehall, Holiday Camping Resort campground is open from May through October. The 104 sites in a wooded setting offer water, 50-amp service and sewer, electric only, or water and electric. Spaces for tent camping and cabins are available for rent. Sites offer a picnic table, fire ring and free Wi-Fi. The park has a playground, pool, recreation room and camping store, and pets are accepted. There are nature trails throughout the park. Approximately three miles from the campground, find the Manistee National Forest and White River, where visitors can launch their boats, fish, swim and hike or view wildlife. Lake Michigan and Stony Lake are approximately five miles west of the park, offering boating, fishing and swimming opportunities.
