RV Parks near San Antonio, New Mexico
San Antonio is south of Albuquerque in New Mexico, and the towns surrounding San Antonio support several RV parks. Travelers can select from a park experience that includes spa amenities on site or a location that offers camping in the quiet beauty of the desert. The large number of hiking and horseback riding trails provides a primary recreational draw to the area.

Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel

Kiva RV Park, 37 miles north of San Antonio, has a clean, simple presentation and large sites. All 36 sites are pull-throughs and come with full hookups. The park has a dump station and recreation room. Pets are welcome; in fact, the grounds include a horse motel that offers 10- by 12-foot stalls with corral and arena use and an on-site certified riding instructor. Guests can access riding trails into the high desert country and hike or ride the Rio Grande Valley. Manzano Mountains State Park is 55 miles from Bernardo and has a number of trails for hiking and cross-country skiing.

Montosa RV Park & Campground

Montosa RV Park provides more than 100 acres of ground adjacent to a large cattle ranch. The park is located at the base of the Tres Montosas Mountains, 36 miles northwest of San Antonio. The park offers at least 20 sites with full hookups and a few additional sites. Guests can receive free Wi-Fi service. The grounds are quiet and spacious, dotted with a wide variety of trees. Hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking are all activities supported by the park and surrounding terrain. Wildlife viewing and star gazing are part of the experience of the park. For additional excursions, a list of more than 36 hiking trails found in the area is available through the Magdalena Chamber of Commerce.

La Mirada RV Park

La Mirada--55 miles north of San Antonio--offers 40 sites on the high mesa. The spots have full hookups with 30- or 50-amp electric, and all of the sites are pull-through, convenient for big rig campers. The grounds cover 10 acres, and pets are allowed. The park does not allow campfires, but grills are permitted--or you can choose to take advantage of the full-service dining room. The guest lounge offers free Wi-Fi service and a coffee bar. The on-site spa can schedule treatments, massage and pampering. Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is 60 miles south of Belen, a good day trip for those who like to observe wild bird populations.
