Brunswick is on the southern east coast of Georgia. Surrounded by Oglethorpe Bay, the Brunswick River and Intercoastal Waterway, the peninsula area offers opportunities for boating and fishing. Jekyll Island Campground

Jekyll Island Campground is on the northern tip of Jekyll Island and approximately two miles from Brunswick. This heavily wooded campground on 18-acres offers 206 sites. Sites include full hookups, with electric, water, TV cable and sewer. There are pull-throughs and primitive tent sites. Wi-Fi and DSL are accessible throughout the campground. There is a bathhouse, a nearby picnic area, a laundry facility and a general store. Guests can rent bikes, canoes and kayaks at the store. The campground is near Driftwood Beach and the fishing pier. Hikers will appreciate the 10 miles of beach and nature trails on saltwater marshes, forest and beach.

Blythe Island Regional Park

Blythe Island Regional Park, operated by the county, offers 1,100 wooded acres with full-service campsites throughout. The campsites offer 30- or 50-amp electricity, water, sewer, TV cable and Wi-Fi. Sites rent by the day, week or month. All sites are large and shaded, with some accommodating pull-throughs. There is a group camping area. The park has a picnic area, propane gas, camping/bait store and dump station. Anglers can fish at the park's freshwater lake or launch their boats at the park and access the South Brunswick River. There are various biking and hiking trails throughout the park, and guests can rent bikes at the store. The campground also has canoe and kayak rentals. The campground is approximately 10 miles from St. Simone Island, which offers a fishing pier, water sports and bike rentals to explore the island.

Golden Isles RV Park

Golden Isles RV Park offers guests shaded sites in a rural setting on 14 acres. There are 114 campsites with 50/30/20-amp service, water, sewer and TV cable; 37 campsites with 20/30-amp service and water; and nine campsites with 30-amp service and water. The park also has cabins and a tent area away from the RVs. Restrooms, showers, a laundry facility, dump station, pool and playground are on site. Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the park. The park is approximately seven miles from Jekyll Island, where guests can rent canoes or kayaks, fish, boat or explore the island's nature trails. The Earth Day Nature Trail, located on the southern tip of Brunswick, is a self-guided nature hike that takes guests through the area's coastal marshes. The trail office has kayak rentals for enthusiasts to explore the coastal waterways.
