Pecan Acres RV Park

Pecan Acres is a small, quiet park with only 20 sites to offer--good for those who hope to escape the larger, more crowded venues. Most of the sites are pull-through, sized 30 by 80 feet and each has security lighting. Full hookups are provided, with 20-, 30-, and 50-amp electric and the option for cable television service. Pets are welcome. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available. For wilderness exploration, Kisatchie National Forest is 49 miles east of Leesville and offers travelers land for ATV trail riding, horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking.

Shady Lake RV Park

Guests and their pets are welcome to stay as long as they like among the pine trees at Shady Lake. The park has 31 sites capable of accommodating big rigs. Pull through and back-in sites are available with 30- and 50-amp electric, picnic tables and security lights. Guests can request cable service, phone and dial-up Internet. A laundry area, shower and restrooms are provided for common use. About 24 miles west of Leesville lies Toledo Bend Reservoir, an immense lake on the Louisiana/Texas border. The surrounding communities offer several launch sites and a number of hiking trails ring the lake, an excellent location for spotting water birds.

The Dunes of Forest Hill

The Dunes of Forest Hill is 48 miles from Leesville--a good option if you are traveling north from Baton Rouge. The park sits on 360 acres of land and offers RV and tent camping. RV hookups include electric and water and parking is allowed adjacent to your site. The park operates a concession stand and provides public restrooms. Reservations are accepted and are recommended around holidays. Tools for basic repairs to cycles and ATVs are available for use. The park has sand dunes and trails for ATV riding and two lakes with beaches where guests can swim and enjoy the sun.
