RV Parks near Tooele, Utah
Tooele, Utah, is just west of Salt Lake City. The area has a variety of attractions and outdoor recreational activities, including skiing, hiking and saltwater swimming. The Bonneville Salt Flats are on the northwestern edge of Tooele County. The Salt Flats are known as the "fastest place on earth" and speed week takes place in August each year.

Oquirrh RV Resort

Lake Point, 11 miles north of Tooele, is home to Oquirrh RV Resort. The resort is located close to interstate access and the conveniences of town. The park has a laundry, ice machine and sites with full hookups, including 30- and 50-amp electric. Rates are available by the day, week or month, but reservations are not accepted. Pets are welcome. For outdoor activities, Antelope Island State Park is about 50 miles north and has hiking trails that wind around grounds where wild animals have been reintroduced. A marina and white sand beach areas provide access to the Great Salt Lake.

Mountain Shadows RV Park

Mountain Shadows RV Park has 110 sites--each 60 feet long--with full hookups and Wi-Fi. Guests can select from pull-thru sites, 30- and 50-amp service, gravel or paved areas, shade or grass. Slide-outs can be accommodated. Two dump stations and LP gas sales are provided on-site. The grounds include a dog walk, basketball and volleyball courts. An indoor Jacuzzi is open during the colder seasons, and an outdoor heated pool and spa are open during the summer. Less than a 30-mile drive from the RV park, Utah Lake State Park allows selected boating on Utah Lake, including canoes, kayaks and sailboats.

Pony Express RV Resort

Pony Express RV Resort is a 15-acre gated park, 38 miles north of Tooele. The resort is on the Jordan River, with a backdrop of Wasatch Mountain scenery. Guests can select from among 175 sites with full hookups and large back-in and pull-thru options. Deluxe Plus-level sites come with car pads, and executive sites include a lawn and tables. Free Wi-Fi and cable are provided and an on-site grocery sells convenience items and RV supplies. The park has a dog run for pets and a recreation complex with a fireplace, movies and games for the family. Guests can swim, walk the park trails or play basketball, outdoor games and indoor table games.
