The town of Fallon is approximately 1 hour east of Reno, Nevada. Visitors to this area might be interested in visiting the Lahontan State Recreation Area, which is 18 miles west of Fallon along the Carson River. Fishing and camping are permitted in the park and local wildlife includes bobcats, coyote, wild horses, herons, pelicans and bald eagles. RV dump stations are located at both entrances to the park for your convenience.

The Fallon RV Park has 64 RV sites with full hookups including electric, water, sewage and cable TV. Amenities include restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, dump station and free wireless Internet access. This park also features an on-site convenience store selling propane, gas and diesel as well as fresh sandwiches, salads, refreshments and alcoholic beverages. The store also has an indoor eating area, and picnic tables are located throughout the park. Pets are welcome at no additional charge but are expected to be well-behaved.

Sage Valley RV Park

The Sage Valley RV Park is a 52-site park with full hookups including water, sewer, electric and cable TV. This park also has restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, wireless Internet access, and propane is available for sale on the premises. Tent camping is also permitted, and pets are allowed in the park. A local market is conveniently located right across the street for guests to purchase basic toiletries and groceries. The Churchill County Museum is less than 5 miles away and contains artifacts from the area's early Native American inhabitants, local historic buildings and antique vehicles.

Middlegate Station

Middlegate Station consists of a motel, bar and restaurant, gas station, free tent camping area and a small RV park with six sites featuring full hookups of water, electric and sewage. The main building was a stage station for the Pony Express in the 1800s. Wireless Internet access is available at the park, and a dumping station and laundry facilities are located on the premises. Even though Middlegate is located within the Fallon city limits, it rests on the outskirts of town nearly 50 miles east of downtown Fallon. The ghost town of Wonder, Nevada, is locatedm between Fallon proper and the Middlegate Station and can be reached via a 16-minute drive northwest of the RV park.
