RV Parks Near Houston, Texas
Houston, Texas, is one of the country's largest cities and not necessarily what one would associate with an outdoor vacation. However, there are many opportunities for outdoor activities and sports in the greater Houston area. The Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge is within a few miles of the downtown core of Houston and has hiking and bird-watching. Visitors wanting to get some biking in can head to the Brays Bayou Upper Bank Hike and Bike Trail and ride the 8 miles of trails.

Lakeview RV Resort

The Lakeview RV Resort is located in Houston and offers guests full hookups (15-, 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV.) There is Wi-Fi on the grounds for guest use. Pets are welcome here but should remain leashed in the park. Anglers can give the park's lake a go for bass and crappie fishing. There are bathrooms, showers, picnic and barbecue stations, a laundry facility and dump station available to all guests. Hikers and bird-watchers can head to the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center Outer Loop Trail in the city.

Lake Conroe/Houston KOA

Anglers will appreciate staying at the Lake Conroe/Houston KOA. In addition to the stocked ponds within the KOA grounds, anglers can try fishing for bass and crappie on Lake Conroe. Kayak-touring can be found on Lake Conroe as well, and canoeists will be able to drop in and have a paddle around the lake. The KOA offers sites for most size RVs. Hookups include 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV. Wi-Fi is available for guest use. Bathrooms and showers, picnic tables, guest gazebos, and barbecue stations are on the premises for guest use. Pets are allowed, and AAA and Good Sam club discounts are offered to members.

All Star RV Resort

The All Star offers RV travelers a range of services and amenities. Most RV sizes can be handled at the All Star. There are hookups at each site which include 15-, 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Pets are welcome if leashed. Bathrooms, guest use gazebos, showers, barbecue and picnic areas, and a laundry are all on the grounds for visitors to use. The White Oak Bayou Hike and Bike Trail is a 2-mile loop that visitors to the Houston area can use for some biking, hiking or running.
