Surprise, Arizona, northwest of Phoenix, is the spring training home of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals. The town also has several golf courses, trails and parks. The parks include hiking trails, biking trails and picnic areas. The Western Heritage Trail begins in Surprise and leads you through the Arizona desert before ending at the Grand Canyon.

Sunflower Resort

Sunflower Resort is an age 55-and-older RV park with numerous amenities. The park has a fitness center, a ballroom, a spa, a pool, horseshoe pits, laundry facilities, a putting green, a pet area, a hiking club, regular social gatherings, classes and more. The park is completely gated and is within minutes of shopping and dining. It is also only a short drive away from the stadiums of the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes and the NFL's Arizona Cardinals.

White Tank Mountain Regional Park

White Tank Mountain Regional Park has hiking trails, biking trails, horse trails and picnic areas. The park has several camping areas, including one that can accommodates 50 RVs. The RV sites do not have hookups, but they do have picnic tables, fire rings, potable water and electric outlets. The park also has restrooms and showers. White Tank is ideal for short visits in self-contained RVs.

Danorma RV Park

This 55-and-older RV park is within minutes of the Surprise Senior Center, White Tank Mountain Regional Park and the West Valley Art Museum. The park has daily, weekly and monthly rates and RV sites have hookups for water, sewer and 30-amp electric. The location is close to shopping and dining.
