Jasper, Missouri is west of Springfield, near the border with Kansas and Oklahoma. Big Red Barn RV Park

The Big Red Barn RV Park is located in Carthage, 12.5 miles south of Jasper. Park among trees and flowers with your own concrete patio and plenty of room to move. The sites are long and wide to better accommodate big-rigs and slideouts. Nearly all of the 70 sites offer full hookups with 30- or 50-amp electric and free Wi-Fi. Cable television is available and there are southern sky views for satellite reception. The park has an adult game room with table games and an exchange library. For outdoor recreation, nearby Carthage Municipal Park offers skating, swimming, tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course and Kiddieland for the little ones.

Joplin KOA

The Joplin KOA is 28 miles southwest of Jasper and offers pull-through sites among mature oak trees. The sites measure up to 90 by 50 feet, to accommodate the largest of RVs. Guests can request a site with satellite reception access or available cable television. "Super sites" include a concrete patio with furniture and a swing, cable and Wi-Fi service and free firewood. LP gas is sold on-site and a convenience store sells gourmet coffee and hot snacks. Enjoy outdoor movies with the kids, rent a bicycle or a pedal go-kart or take a few laps at the swimming pool. The park has its own nature trails and a fish pond where you can feed the wildlife.

Osage Prairie RV Park

Osage Prairie RV Park is in Nevada, 37 miles north of Jasper. The park is open all year and is family-friendly. The sites offer shade trees and grass, come with full hookups and free Wi-Fi service. Outdoor games, a pool and mini-golf are available on the grounds and free summer concerts are held in the area. The Fort Scott National Historic Site has walking trails on the tallgrass prairie, less than 20 miles west of Nevada. Stockton State Park is 44 miles east. Travelers can sail, scuba dive, swim, or go boating at Lake Stockton, or just hike along the shore.
