Boone Trail is a three and one-half-mile beginner's trail that stretches across parts of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Highland Hills Motel and Cabins

Highland Hills has nine cabins, each with two levels and fireplaces. Each cabin also has a full kitchen and fully-furnished living and dining rooms, as well as a sleeper sofa, large front porch and cable television. Fun 'N Wheels, a go-kart race track next to Highland Hills Cabins, hiking trails and snow skiing are all located close by.

Blue Ridge Cabins manages 17 individual log cabins ranging from two-bedroom, one-bath cabins to six-bedroom, five-bath cabins. Parkway Cabins

There are five cabins atop Turkey Knob, which is located five minutes from Boone. The cabins range from one-bedroom, one-bath cabins to three-bedroom, two-bath lodgings. Each cabin includes hardwood floors, granite countertops, a fully-stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, complimentary Wi-Fi and flat-screen television. Popular activities located close to the rentals include Grandfather Mountain for hiking and trails on the Blue Ridge Parkway for biking and hiking. Visitors also enjoy snow skiing or snow tubing on one of four nearby slopes in the winter.
