Parks in Mesquite, Nevada
Mesquite is a small city in Southern Nevada that is a few miles from the Arizona border and about an hour northeast of Las Vegas. The area around Mesquite offers a wealth of outdoor activities that include a system of trails in the nearby Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area, the Gold Butte Back Country Byway, three national parks, the Valley of Fire State Park and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Mesquite also has a dozen parks, including five that are connected to the regional trail system.

Hafen Trailhead Park

The Roadrunner Trail goes right through Hafen, which is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The park has four lighted tennis courts, a fishing pond, a basketball and volleyball area, and a shaded playground. Dogs are allowed and waste bags and disposal stations are provided. The park also has a barbecue area with eight lighted tables, other uncovered tables throughout the park, a drinking fountain and restrooms.

Jensen Trailside Park

Jensen is next to the Roadrunner Trail and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Waste bags and disposal stations are provided for dogs. The park also includes a lighted multi-sport field, a playground, and a basketball and volleyball area. There also is a covered pavilion with lights, a barbecue area with eight tables, a drinking fountain and restrooms.

Old Mill Park

Old Mill connects with the Roadrunner Trail and has a shaded playground with a safety surface. The park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dogs are allowed and there are waste bag and disposal stations. The park also has a Little League baseball field, a softball field, bleachers, a concession stand, a drinking fountain, restrooms and uncovered tables.

Pulsipher Park

Pulsipher provides access to the Roadrunner Trail and has two covered picnic areas with two picnic tables each on a concrete surface. There also is a grassy area. The park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Library Park

Library Park connects to the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher Trail and is next to the library, which provides parking for both facilities. The park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are covered picnic tables and a shaded playground with a safety surface. Waste bags and disposal stations are provided for dogs.
