Prineville, OR RV Parks

Located in central Oregon just east of Redmond and north of Bend, Prineville borders the Ochoco National Forest. Prineville offers many outdoor recreational opportunities, including the world-class rock climbing at Smith Rocks State Park just to the south, skiing at Mt. Bachelor just west of Bend, and hiking, fishing, boating and cross-country skiing at Ochoco Reservoir just to the east of Prineville.

Crook County RV Park

Crook County RV Park is located on the south side of Prineville and is a non-reservation campground open year-round, with daily, weekly and monthly rates. The Park has 81 sites with pull-through access for rigs up to 70 feet in length. Full hookups, with 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV. Wi-Fi is not available as of 2010 but is planned for the future. Showers and bathrooms are available on site. The RV park also has a covered picnic area with night-use lighting, an outdoor propane barbecue, picnic style seating for up to 50 people and a wood-burning brick fireplace. The RV Park is next to the county fairgrounds, which has a roller-skating rink open from September to June and a swimming pool that is open from mid-June to August. A designated pet area is in the RV park as well.

Lakeshore RV Park and Store

Lakeshore RV Park and Store is on the shores of Ochoco Reservoir on the east side of Prineville and offers boating access to the late, including a marina. The park has 43 RV sites and can accommodate rigs up to 45 feet. Full hookups with electric, sewer, water and cable TV are available. Showers and restrooms also are available. The grocery store sells RV supplies. Leashed pets are allowed at the facility. In addition to the activities on the lake, the site has a playground and recreation hall.

Sun Rocks RV Resort

Sun Rocks RV Resort has 87 sites with back-in access, and each site is 55-feet long by 25-feet wide. Each site has full hookups with 50-amp electric, water and sewer. The sites offers a lot of recreation, including a basketball court, volleyball court, a pool and a hot tub; the pool and hot tub are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. A convenience store is located on the grounds, and propane is available. Pets are welcome at the facility.
