If you have never tried a hot air balloon ride then you might want to visit the city during its annual Balloon Fiesta. Santa Fe is home to many great biking trails including the Caja del Rio and Windsor Trail areas. The national forests surrounding Santa Fe offer hundreds of miles of trails to hike.

Redondo Campground at Santa Fe National Forest

There is a 14-day limit on your stay at the Redondo Campground at Santa Fe National Forest, but you can live a lifetime in those two weeks. The campground is home to 76 multipurpose sites, but none feature utility hookups. This is a Santa Fe RV campground for those with small rigs because nothing more than 30 feet is allowed. The primitive conditions are offset by the fact that you are placed right inside the park with access to more than a hundred miles of hiking trails ranging form short and to long and from easy to difficult.
