Sevierville is in the mountainous section of Tennessee that is home to the popular tourist towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. When you stay at an RV park, campground or resort in Sevierville you are just a few miles away from attractions like Dollywood and Obergatlinburg. You are also just minutes away from dozens of scenic hiking trails and rivers for fishing or whitewater rafting.

Douglas Dam Headwater Campground

The RV park at the Douglas Dam Headwater Campground is part of the extensive Tennessee Valley Authority network of campgrounds. Travelers looking for a more primitive experience should consider this site as it does not contain all the amenities and luxuries of the other Sevierville RV parks. The interior roads are in good condition, however, as they take you to the 65 RV pads that offer 30-amp electrical hookup and room for slideouts. There are no pull-through sites at this RV camp. Facilities include bathrooms, showers and a dump station. What Douglas Dam Headwater does offer is opportunity for recreation, as you will find the Douglas Reservoir available for swimming, boating and fishing.

River Plantation RV Park

The River Plantation RV Park is home to 294 sites with full hookups that offer 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, and cable television. The interior gravel roads are in good condition and lead to mostly shaded sites for RVs with a maximum length of 70 feet. You've got room for your slideout and there also a few big-rig sites. Facilities include bathrooms, showers, laundry and an office for faxing and copying. Church service is held every Sunday. On-site recreation includes a swimming pool, game room, playground, and spa. You can also fish or swim in the Little Pigeon River. Miles of hiking trails are available 15 miles away at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Ripplin' Waters RV Park

Ripplin' Waters RV Park provides good paved and gravel interior roads to the 156 sites. There are 130 full-hookup sites that include water, sewer, cable TV and 30- or 50-amp electric. Fifty of the sites here are situated with a direct view of the Little Pigeon River and offer swimming or fishing right outside the doors of your vehicle. Recreation on site include the river and a swimming pool as well as a playground for the kids. Other amenities include personal escort to your site, a library, and church services on Sunday. Directly across the street from this Sevierville park is a flea market, and on the other side of the river is an 18-hole golf course. Just a few minute's drive away, you can try your hand at the two-night backpacking trip known as the Maddron Bald Overnight Loop.
