Campgrounds in Franklin County, Georgia
Franklin County, Georgia is in the northeastern corner of the state and abuts South Carolina. The Chattahoochee National Forest is in the region and visitors can find hiking, rock-climbing, bouldering, kayaking, canoeing, and mountain biking in the area. Anglers can take advantage of the small lakes and streams in the area and try for crappie and bass. There are several options for RV campgrounds in Franklin County.

Victoria Bryant State Park

Guests staying at the Victoria Bryant State Park have options for tent or RV camping. Tent sites are primitive but have picnic tables and access to fresh water spigots for drinking and cooking. RV guests have options for sites with water and electric hookups, sites with water only, or primitive sites. All guests can use the bathrooms and showers. There is a dump station on the grounds. Pets are allowed but must be leashed at all times in the park. The perimeter trail has hiking opportunities, and wildlife-watchers can keep watch for animals at the ranger-fed food plots. The nearby stream provides opportunities for fishing and canoeing.

Tugaloo State Park

The Tugaloo State Park offers another option for tent campers and RV travelers within the state park system. Tugaloo has sites for primitive RV camping as well as sites with water and 50-amp electric hookups. Pets are allowed but must be leashed at all times in the state park. Showers and pit toilets are available for guest use. A dump station is on the premises for RV use. The Sassafras and Muscadine trails wind their ways through hardwood forests, and offer both hiking and mountain biking opportunities, while the 55,590-acre Lake Hartwell offers opportunities for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.

Country Boys RV Park

Country Boys RV Park offers RV sites with full hookups (sewer, water, cable TV, Wi-Fi and 30- or 50-amp electric). There are showers and bathrooms, a laundry room, and a guest house. Tent campers can also be accommodated. Pets are welcome but need to be leashed while in the campground. Country Boys RV Park is near the North Georgia Mountains where there is hiking and mountain biking to be found.
