The Daniel Boone Family Campground, located on the edge of Morganton in the Pisgah National Forest, offers many opportunities for hiking, fishing and other outdoor activities. On the campgrounds property you will be able to play basketball, entertain yourself in the game room, or go swimming or fishing. Other features include church services on Sunday mornings, Saturday bingo and live entertainment. RV sites have water and electric hookups. A dumping station, bath houses and restrooms are provided. The Optismistc RV Resort & Campground is an adults-only resort located south of Lenoir in Morganton, with plenty of restaurants and shopping a short drive away. On-site you will find such amenities as bath houses, laundry area and picnic shelters. Other features such as Internet and a stream to fish in are also available at the campground.
