Deschutes River State Recreation Area is to the west of Arlington, where the Deschutes and Columbia Rivers meet. The park provides all kinds of outdoor recreation such as hiking, rafting, fishing and biking. On-site amenities include restrooms, picnic shelters, trails and river access. A little more than half the sites include electrical and water hook up. Tent sites are also available.

The Driftwood RV Resort & Campground is in Boardman, east of Arlington. On-site amenities include an indoor pool and hot tub, events facilities, Wi-Fi, bathrooms and showers. Recreation at the park includes horseshoes, basketball, swimming and tennis. Picnic shelters are also available for your convenience. A short drive away you can tour old mines, the McNary Wildlife Refuge and do a little shopping. Sites come equipped with full hookups, and some pull-throughs are available.
