RV Parks in Silverton, CO

Located at over 9000 feet on the south side of Red Mountain Pass in southwest Colorado, Silverton is a small town that was built around the mining industry. Difficult to reach--especially in the winter, due to the numerous avalanches that pour down the mountains around Red Mountain Pass--Silverton has, nonetheless, experienced a resurgence in recent years. This is, in part, due to the opening of the Silverton Mountain Ski Area, a small ski resort that offers stunning runs accessed with a local guide from January to April. In the summer, four-wheelers and hikers enjoy the scenery. Several camping opportunities are available in Silverton.

A and B RV Park

The A and B RV Park opened in 1993, and sits on the area where the engine house for the Silverton Gladstone & Northerly Railroad used to. The site is designed with pull-thru access to accommodate large RVs. Full hookups are available with water, sewer, cable TV and 30- or 50-amp electric. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the grounds. The site has a coin-operated laundry, showers, and bathrooms, and a dump station. A and B is open from May through mid-October.

Red Mountain Motel and RV Park

The Red Mountain Motel and RV Park has 38 RV sites with back-in access. Full hookups are available, with water, sewer, cable TV and 50-amp electric. The facility provides showers, bathrooms, and a coin-operated laundry. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the facility. There is an on-site playground, and the motel offers snowmobile and ATV tours and rentals. Pets are welcome, and the facility is open year-round.

Silver Summit RV Park

Silver Summit RV Park is open from May 15 to October 15, and is within walking distance of the center of town. It has 39 back-in sites, offering full hookups, with 50-amp electric. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the grounds. The facility has a hot tub, convenience store, fire pits at each site, and offers Jeep rentals. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are available. Pets are welcome, as long as they are leashed.
