Château d'Hassonville
Château d'Hassonville was built for Louis XIV, also known as the Sun King, and it sits on 1,606 acres of land, much of which is as it was when it was designed for the Sun King himself. Go hiking, biking, ride in a hot air balloon, go horseback riding or tour the grounds. Rooms have fireplaces, high ceilings and some have whirlpools. Chef Olivier Delaere presides over the castle's own restaurant, which offers gourmet fare on a price fixed menu or an la carte menu. Try the foie gras, the soup of chanterelles or the risotto.
