Hanalei Dolphin
The Hanalei Dolphin has been serving guests since 1977. The longest operating restaurant on Kauai's North Shore sits on the banks of the Hanalei Heritage River. Guests can enjoy lunch and cocktails riverside. The dinner menu includes seafood, steak and chicken accompanied with salad and homemade bread. The Hanalei Dolphin offers a fish market where you can buy fresh ahi, shrimp and soft-shell crab rolls. Seating is first come, first served. The Hanalei Dolphin is open daily from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Postcard Cafe
The Postcard Café offers fresh, local seafood and vegetarian cuisine. Gourmet vegetarian and vegan options make up a majority of the menu. The Postcard Café does not use meat, poultry, refined sugar or any foods with chemical additives in their kitchen. Dishes are composed of island-grown produce and daily caught seafood. For a starter, try the Hanalei Taro Fritter-polenta-crusted local taro with a pineapple-ginger chutney. A house favorite is the ahi tuna with wasabi crust over rice pilaf. Dinner is served nightly beginning at 6 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended.

Bar Acuda Tapas and Wine
Chef/owner Jim Moffat brings his years of experience opening restaurants in San Francisco to Hawaii's North Shore. Local fish and produce create a Mediterranean-style menu served from an open kitchen. Guests enjoy small plates, or tapas, such as house-cured chorizo sausage with grilled apples and grilled sea scallops wrapped in pancetta, by candlelight. Bar Acuda also features a world-class wine list. Cocktails are served at the teakwood bar. Reservations are recommended.
