Visitors to the Sheridan, Montana region will be surrounded by seven different mountain ranges. The Tobacco Root Range, Highlands Mountains, McCartney Mountain, The Pioneers, The Ruby Range, The Gravellies and the Snowcrest Range are accessible for boundless outdoor recreation opportunities. There is hiking, down-hill and telemark skiing, rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing and wildlife and bird-watching. Alder/Virginia City KOA

The Alder/Virginia City KOA offers guests RV sites for rigs of all sizes as they have pull-through sites up to 110 feet in length. Hookups include 50-amp electric, water, sewer and free Wi-Fi. There are tent sites as well as RV sites, and all guests have access to the showers, bathrooms, picnic areas, laundry and guest house. Pets are allowed if leashed. AAA and Good Sam discounts are available. Yellowstone National Park is within a two hour drive from the KOA and the surrounding mountains offer hiking and biking opportunities, such as the 4.8 mile Bannock Trail.

Virginia City RV Park

The Virginia City RV Parks offers visitors to the Sheridan area a range of amenities and services. RVs of most sizes can be handled. Hookups include water, sewer, cable TV and 30- or 50-amp electric. Free Wi-Fi is available for guest use. Pets are allowed but must be leashed in the park, unless in dedicated dog walk areas. Guests may use the showers and bathrooms, barbecue pits and picnic areas. The three mile Woody Falls Trail is nearby and doubles as a cross-country ski trail in winter.

Camper Corner

Camper Corner, in nearby Ennis, offers RV travelers a small and family run RV Park surrounded by mountains. Sites can accommodate most RV sizes to 60 feet in length with pull-through and back-in sites. Sites have either 20-, 30-, or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. Pets are allowed. There are hot showers, private toilets, laundry room, and picnic areas on the premises for guest use and comfort. The Ennis Hot Springs are within 30 minutes and offer visitors a hot soak in natural hot springs.
