USI RV Park
Wichita is 27 miles from Newton and home to USI RV Park. The grounds occupy 20 tree-lined acres and the management is available on-site. The park offers 79 spaces, the vast majority of them long sites for convenient pull through access. Guests can expect to find full hookups with 30/50 amp electric, Wi-Fi service and phone connections. Both a storm shelter and a dump station are provided and the park store sells ice and sundries. The hiking trails of Chisholm Creek Park are part of the Great Plains Nature Center of Wichita. Visitors can observe water birds and wetlands plant and animal life along the park paths.

Spring Lake RV Resort
Travel just 14 miles west of Newton to the town of Halstead and you will find Spring Lake RV Resort. The park is open all year and welcomes big rigs with pull through sites. Full hookups are included, offering 20/30/50 amp electric and free wireless Internet service. Propane is sold on-site and the park has storm shelters for safety, in case of inclement weather. The resort hosts social events and church services. Stay on the grounds and enjoy outdoor games, mini golf and basketball, swimming, hiking or biking. If you head into town, Wedgewood Golf Course has a nine-hole course with a pro shop and log cabin clubhouse.

Pete's Puddle
Sitting on 135 acres 20 miles west of Newton, Pete's Puddle is the option to consider if you make frequent trips to the area. Sites are available with full hookups and per night or long-term access, but travelers are required to obtain a membership to camp and use the facilities. The park offers activities such as swimming along a sandy beach, canoeing, paddle boat excursions and hiking along the park trails. For additional fun, Milburn Stone Park is located in Burrton and provides a lighted tennis court, sand volleyball court, a municipal pool and ball fields.
