The camp is only 25 minutes away from Lake Louisa State Park where campers can hike and view wildlife such as bob cats, otters, wild turkey, Sherman fox squirrels, white-tailed deer, ospreys, gopher tortoises and bald eagles. There are also trails for biking and horseback riding. Other features of the park include a fishing pier and canoe rentals.
