Lefleurs Bluff State Park
This 305-acre state park is in the middle of Jackson. There are 28 campsites, most of them suitable for up to 40-foot rigs and all with electrical hookups. Many of the campsites are set on the lakeside. The campground has a shower house located at its center. Among the camping facilities are a dump station, picnic tables, barbecue grills and fire rings. The park also has a boat ramp, fishing, hiking trails and a 9-hole golf course.

Ross Barnet Reservoir Campgrounds
This 33,000 acre reservoir is situated only 10 miles north of Jackson, and its shores are ringed with campgrounds: Timberlake, Goshen Springs, Coal Bluff, Leake County Water Park and Low Head Dam. According to the reservoir authorities, Timberlake campground is the best-equipped. It has a mix of RV sites with either full hookups or just water and electrical hookups. The facilities at Timberlake include a swimming pool, tennis court, boat ramp, barbecue grills, picnic tables, TV room, coin laundry and comfort station. The campground also offers access to area biking and walking trails. The other campgrounds might not be as extensive, but all of them offer RV sites with full hookups.

Swinging Bridge RV Park
Swinging Bridge is located just 10 miles south of the Jackson city center in Byram, close enough to be counted as part of the metro area. It offers a mix of gravel sites and some with concrete pads and patios, all of which have full hookups and up to 50-amp electricity. The park is lightly wooded and has plenty of shade trees, and the facilities include two shower houses and a coin laundry.
