Long Beach, Washington, is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Located on the southwestern corner of the state's coast, the Long Beach Peninsula offers visitors plenty of opportunities for hiking, bird-watching, beachcombing, fishing and kayaking. The peninsula is a popular spot for migratory birds and also has two lighthouses and a number of museums. The Columbia River, Willapa Bay and the Pacific Ocean surround this area. RV campers are able to enjoy an outdoor experience while still having the comforts of home.

Wild Wood Campgrounds

There are 30 sites at Wild Wood, all with full hookups and 20- or 30-amp electric. Picnic tables and fire pits at each site make the experience enjoyable. Other amenities include wireless Internet, bathrooms, showers and boat parking. This park is situated right on the peninsula, so campers can enjoy walking trails, or kayaking on nearby Willapa Bay.

The family-oriented park offers a catch-and-release lake for those who would like to try their hand at fishing. Visitors can also enjoy a family game of basketball, volleyball or soccer. The office has board games that families can check out and enjoy at their campsite.

Driftwood RV Park

This two-acre park has 56 sites, including some that are pullthrough . All have full hookups and picnic tables. Other amenities include restrooms and showers, cable TV with 70 channels, wireless Internet and laundry facilities. The office has a small store offering soda, popcorn, ice, stamps and batteries. Bicycles and clam shovels are available to rent.

Driftwood RV Park is a Good Sam park and also offers weekly and monthly rentals. The park is handicapped-accessible, with accessible restrooms.

Visitors may want to check out the two lighthouses at North Head and Cape Disappointment, or the nearby Kite Museum.

Mermaid Inn and RV Park

This park is for adults only. Guests will enjoy the 11 quiet, newly renovated RV sites with 20- and 30-amp electric. Full hookups at each site, with cable TV and a picnic table, are provided as well. Other amenities include wireless Internet, bathrooms, showers, laundry and a fish-cleaning sink. Guests interested in socializing might enjoy a barbeque in the common area.

Small- to medium-size pets are allowed in the RV park, but not in the adjacent Inn. A pet deposit is required.
