The Tortilla Press

The Tortilla Press is a Mexican influenced restaurant that is located in Collingswood, which is just a little over six miles from Maple Shade. The restaurant's menu is full of food familiar to American cuisine, yet it is seasoned and cooked with Mexican herbs and sauces. The Tortilla Press is also a participant in green dining, as it uses biodegradable take-out containers instead of Styrofoam ones, serves fair trade organic coffee and offers vegan and vegetarian menus. One of the most popular items on the menu is the family-sized 5 lb. burrito that is full of cheese, meat, beans, rice and toppings. Children can also get creative with their burritos and build their own by choosing meat and fillings along with a side. Other menu items include rainbow shrimp, mang BBQ salmon, chile rellenos and a sweet potato burrito. For a sweet starter, you can also order guacamole that is made to order. The Tortilla Press is open Monday through Friday for lunch and dinner. On the weekends, brunch is also available.

The Mexican Post

The Mexican Post in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been serving its customers for more than 20 years. It is located just a little over 11 miles from Maple Shade. All of the dishes from the menu are served with complimentary chips and salsa. Happy hour is always Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the cantina. The most popular drink is the gran gold margarita, which is served in six different flavors, along with specialty cocktails, sangria, wine and beer. House specials include salmon vallarta, veggie fajitas and arroz con pollo. American favorites that are served off the menu are pollo locco, a veggie sandwich and smokehouse burger. Every Wednesday is ladies night. The Mexican Post is open daily for lunch, dinner and drinks.

Jose Pistola's

Joe Pistola's is a casual Mexican restaurant located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 13 miles from Maple Shade. The restaurant is known for its large international beer selection.
