Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey is located on the banks of the Shrewsbury River in Monmouth County. Monmouth County has a total of 38 parks including the Henry Hudson Trail, which runs from Aberdeen to Atlantic Highlands. It is a 22-mile long mixed use trail that follows a former railroad right of way. After a day on the river, or navigating the trail, you have your choice of a variety of restaurants in Atlantic Highlands at which to enjoy a meal with family and/or friends and plan your next day's adventures.

Julia's

Julia's has been open since 2005 and has an old-world ambiance with wooden tables and chairs and crisp white linen. The dress style is dressy casual. The restaurant has a small bar with happy hour on weekdays where appetizers, soups, salads and drinks are offered at discount prices. The cuisine is a mix of traditional Italian and American and the menu features blackened mahi, diver scallops, stuffed salmon, pollo Napoleon, veal Milanese, pork tenderloin, rack of lamb, penne a la vodka and pollo and artichoke Francaise. The restaurant is open for dinner five days a week, closed on Monday and Tuesday and reservations are recommended.

On the Deck Restaurant

On the Deck Restaurant has been opened since 2008. The restaurant offers outdoor dining during the summer. The bar is a place to come and relax while you watch the latest sports on the eight flat-screen TVs. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and style, and is very family friendly with a special kids' menu. The menu features 14 oz. Angus rib-eye, grilled chicken breast, baby back ribs, chicken Francaise, fish and chips, sauteed shrimp scampi and the restaurant's own recipe decked out pasta made with shrimp, scallops and lobster meat sauteed in a fresh herb garlic sauce tossed with linguine. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Giannas Restaurant

Giannas Restaurant serves traditional Italian food, made to order. The restaurant features the cuisine of Sicily and Northern Italy with your choice of being seated in the dining room or on the patio. The atmosphere is formal with a dressy/casual style and the menu features penne a la vodka, seafood fra diavolo, three chicken and three veal dishes, and seafood GeorgeAna, which is shrimp, scallops, lobster and asparagus. The restaurant is open for dinner six days a week, closed on Monday.
