Situated along the banks of the Red River, Fargo is the largest city in North Dakota. It boasts an active and cultural downtown district and is home to North Dakota State University, the Fargo Air Museum and the Red River Zoo. Canoeing, kayaking, fishing, walking, biking and wildlife viewing are among the activities available along the Red River. Visiting nearby Buffalo River State Park offers some of the area's largest remnant prairies and boasts wildlife such as bobolinks, prairie chickens, marbled godwits and upland sandpipers. When traveling by RV to Fargo, you will find several RV parks to choose from for your visit.

Lindenwood Campground

Managed and maintained by the Fargo Park District, Lindenwood Campground is situated along the Red River off Interstate 94 east of Fargo. Open May 1 through October 15, it has 46 sites with electric and water. The facility offers restrooms with showers, two playgrounds, a clubhouse and a visitors center. Pets are allowed. Tent sites are also available. Lindenwood Campground provides an access point to the Fargo Park District, which has over 90 miles of scenic trails for bicycle riders, walkers, runners and in-line skaters. There is a bridge at adjacent Lindenwood Park, connecting the Fargo trail system to that of Moorhead across the Red River.

Red River Valley Fair Campground

Red River Valley Fair Campground in West Fargo offers 80 sites, 53 of which have 30-amp full hookups. The facility offers restrooms with showers and handicap accessibility. Pets are allowed. Visitors attending the Red River Valley Fair, Big Iron Farm Show, Red River Valley Horse Fair and Red River Valley Speedway often find this campground attractive due to its location on Fairgrounds property.

Fargo / Moorhead KOA

Located just east of Fargo in Moorhead, the Fargo / Moorhead KOA has over 60 sites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups. It features restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, a playground, basketball court, recreation room, swimming pool and allows pets. With its proximity to Fargo, visitors can enjoy the big city or golf at Village Green or Meadows Golf Course or spend the day at nearby Buffalo River State Park.
