RV Parks in Erie, Pennsylvania
On the shores of Lake Erie, Erie, Pennsylvania is an industrial town close to both New York and Ohio. The local RV Parks offer a wide range of amenities with recreation throughout park and within a few minutes walk or bike ride including hiking, golf, biking and swimming. With the lakefront and beaches, Presque Isle State Park and the Erie Bluffs, campers can get a full day of activity in and then retire at one of the parks.

Lampe Marina Campground

The Lampe Marina Campground has 42 waterfront RV sites and is open year-round. With free access to a boat launch and lake, campers are less than a five-minute walk from swimming, paddling and fishing within. A short bike ride puts you on the Erie Bayfront District Path. Festivals and live music highlight the summer season at the marina. All sites are back in and include water and electric in thirty or fifty amps. Sites with fire rings are available upon request. Restrooms, showers and a dump station are on the premise. There is twenty four hour security and they take reservations up to six months in advance.

Moon Meadows‎ Campground

The Moon Meadows campground is surrounded by trees at each site providing privacy, shade and a place to explore and climb for children. Hiking trails start in the perimeter of the campground. Volleyball and basketball courts are within the campground. A 20-minute drive can put visitors at Presque Island State Park for fishing, running, biking and kayaking around the Presque Isle Bay. Full hookup sites (30-amp) are available. Storage is available for bikes and other equipment. Restrooms, showers and Internet are also available for guests, who can take advantage of an on-site gas station and convenience store, including video rentals, fresh bait and automotive/RV products. The Moon Meadows Deli and Pizza is open for lunch and dinner.

Erie KOA Kampgrounds

Open mid-April through Mid-October, the Erie KOA Kampgrounds provides sites big enough for large coaches and sites sized for pop-ups and smaller RV's. On-site recreation includes fishing, swimming biking and even taking the on-site goats for a walk. The Family First Fun Park, which features bungee jumping and rock climbing, and Waldameer Water World & Amusement Park, which features rafting and surfing, are within 10-minute drives. Full hookups with 30 or 50 amps or just water/electric are available. Free Internet, cable TV hook ups and full shower restrooms are on the campgrounds. Weekly activities scheduled include potlucks, pancake breakfasts, fishing tournaments and crafts.
