Campgrounds Near Venice, Florida

Campgrounds Near Venice, Florida
Stretched between the Gulf of Mexico and the Myakka River in southwest Florida, the city of Venice emulates its namesake with art and architecture enveloped in a subtropical climate. The beaches are a popular destination for fossil hunters as fossilized shark's teeth are continually washed ashore. Campers can pitch a tent along the Myakka River as it slowly makes its way to the Gulf or along the beach where each day ends with a spectacular Gulf sunset.

Camp Venice Retreat

The shady tent campsites along the Myakka River at Camp Venice Retreat allow kayakers to launch onto the water just steps away from their tent. Those without a kayak may rent a canoe from the campground. The campground provides guests with a pool, Wi-Fi, picnic areas, playground, boat ramp, restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Many of the tent campsites are primitive but a few do have electric hook-up. Full hook-up RV sites and cabins are also available.
