Campgrounds Near Pine River, Minnesota
Pine River, Minnesota is a small town in the north-central region of the state. The town lays claim to being the "Home of Paul Bunyan." The Pine River area has many backcountry pursuits available for outdoor enthusiasts; the Paul Bunyan Trail is a multi-use trail in Pine River for hikers and bikers. The Pine River Route--a 20 mile paddling trail on the lakes and rivers of the area--is great for canoeing and kayak-touring. Paddlers need to make several portages to complete the route. There are several options for campgrounds in the Pine Lake region.

Chlebecek's River View RV Park

Chlebecek's offers both RV and tent camping at the campground. RV sites come with either full (water, sewer and 50-amp electric) or partial (water and electric) hookups. Tents sites have fire rings and picnic tables. Leashed pets are allowed. All guests have access to the showers, bathrooms, barbecue grills and picnic facilities. Larger RVs can be accommodated. There are canoe rentals available at the campground for those wishing to paddle on the nearby Pine River or on one of the many lakes in the region.

Ruttger's Pine Mountain Camping Resort

Ruttgar's is just a few minutes from the Paul Bunyan Bike and Hike Trail. Guests can choose campsites for RVs that have full or partial hookups (water, sewer, 50-amp electric,) or primitive tent sites. The campground has showers and bathrooms, a dump station, boat launches and rentals, and a laundry room. Pets are allowed but need to be leashed in the campground. Canoeing, fishing, and kayak-touring opportunities are near the campground.

Fifty Lakes Campground

In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, watersports abound. And at the Fifty Lakes Campground canoeists and kayakers have access to the Whitefish chain of lakes, five miles from the campground. Fifty Lakes has sites for RVs and tents. Hookups at RV sites include 50-amp electric, water and sewer, or partial hookups with electric and water. Tent sites are either primitive or partial hookup. All guests have access to the showers and bathrooms, guest room, swimming pool, laundry and dump station. Pets are allowed if leashed. Canoe and tube rentals are available at the campground.
