RV Parks in Camp Verde, AZ
Once a cavalry post, Camp Verde, Arizona, is in the heart of the Verde River canyon, one of Arizona's few perennial rivers and one its longest. The Verde cuts through the Tonto National Forest with rich areas for hiking the Mogollon Rim at the edge of the Colorado Plateau. The river runs with trout for catch-and-release fly fishing, and there's birding and archaeological hunting at Montezuma Castle National Monument and other Sinagua native pueblo homesteads in the national forest.
