RV Campgrounds Near Ft. Riley, Kansas
Fort Riley, Kansas is the home of the Army's 1st Infantry Division. In addition to military operations, this army facility offers 71,000 acres of recreation area where visitors may hunt, fish, mountain bike, hike and enjoy wildlife. The base also has a bowling alley, golf course, library, community center and arts and crafts center. A field house, three fitness centers and an aquatic center round out the list of activities available on base.
RV campers may stay in nearby Milford, Abilene or Junction City where they will have close access to Fort Riley and a host of other attractions in the area.

Flagstop Park

Flagstop Park is located right on Milford lake, so you can enjoy fishing, boating and swimming while staying here. The park has full hookups and pull-through sites. Visitors will appreciate the modern shower house, dog kennels, wireless Internet and laundry facilities. Fishing and hunting licenses may be purchased at the office, and the park also offers pontoon boat rentals.The park's Anchor Inn Bar and Grill is open Thursday through Sunday, and provides hot food and beer on tap.

Owls Nest Campground

This park is located just a few minutes away from Fort Riley. The extra-large RV sites here offer 50 amps, full hook-ups, cable television, Internet access, picnic tables and plenty of grass and shade trees. Other amenities include showers, laundry and an RV and car wash on site. The folks at the office are happy to assist you with local activities in Milford, Abilene or Junction City. You might also stop by the Milford Nature Center, just a few miles away.

Covered Wagon RV Resort

This resort is close to many attractions in Abilene. The Seelye Mansion and Museum, Abilene Civic Center and Eisenhower Center are all nearby. The resort can house big rigs and has both 30- and-50 amp sites. Some sites offer electric, sewer and water hookups, newer sites have cable TV as well. There is an outdoor pool, playground and equestrian accommodations, and laundry facilities, showers and restrooms round out the amenities. There is room to exercise your horse; the park has one large corral that can be separated into two if needed. Reservations are encouraged.
