Seattle Waterfront Restaurants

Seattle Waterfront Restaurants
Famous for its lush evergreen forests and temperate oceanic climate, Seattle is ideal for spending time outdoors. Kayaking or sailing in the water, hiking along the shore of Discovery Park, following a bike path along the waterfront, or traveling to the Olympic Mountains to ski is sure to build an appetite. Whether you want something casual or romantic, seafood or cultural, Seattle's waterfront district restaurants can satisfy--and offer beautiful views in the bargain.

Elliot's Oyster House

Located on Pier 56 in the heart of Seattle's downtown waterfront, Elliot's Oyster House serves as a "showcase for classic Northwest seafood," in the words of Elliot's. Dungeness crab, locally caught, along with Hawaiian tuna, Northwest salmon, Alaskan halibut, and other seafood favorites join a list of Washington wines and delicious desserts to satisfy the appetite. Elliot's also has a 21-foot-long oyster bar to showcase its specialty. Open for lunch and dinner.

Palisade

A mixture of the Northwest, Hawaiian and across-the-world cuisine awaits diners at Palisades. "The interior of the restaurant looks like a wooden ship with rustic timbered beams," comments Seattle.com, but the menu is extraordinary; teriyaki tenderloins, lemongrass fried calamari, Peking duck, prime rib, and lobster BLT's are a few of the specialties. Palisade offers lunch, dinner, and even a brunch with a variety of eggs, seafood and omelets, as well as banana macadamia nut sourdough pancakes.
