Mangia Mangia

Mangia Mangia is a family-style Italian restaurant located in the Chicago suburbs in Countryside, just about three miles from McCook. At Mangia Mangia, you may experience the taste of homemade old-fashioned Italian bread, which may be dipped in seasoned olive oil, as you await the arrival of your order. The lights are dimly lit with small wall lamps and the tables are adorned with red and white checkered table cloths. Some of the walls reveal partial brick and are adorned with images of an inspired old Italy and its people. At the start of your meal, choose appetizers such as steamed mussels and clams, shrimp cocktail, bruschetta and pizza bread. Pasta lovers can enjoy delightful choices like homemade fettuccine, tomato basil angel hair pasta, spaghetti and lasagna. Enjoy steak meals such as filet marsala and filet mignon peppers and onions. Other menu specialties include dishes with pork, veal, fish, sandwiches, homemade soups and salads. Choose to end your meal with dessert choices like tiramisu or chocolate cake. A child's menu and wine list also is available. Mangia Mangia is open daily for lunch and dinner.

Bella Bacinos

Bella Bacinos is located in downtown La Grange, which is just five minutes away from McCook. The restaurant's specialty is authentic Napoletana wood-fired pizza. There is also a tempting long list of wines that consist of 600 different kinds from around the world. Bella Bacino's antipasta menu has items such as fonduta al forno and caldo di mare. Primi piatti includes rigatoni alla napoletana and orecchiette al verdue. A pizza menu also is available that offers specialty pizzas like spinach supreme, broccoli bacinos, and pesto bacinos. To build your own pizza, you can choose to have stuffed or thin crust and create it with a variety of meats and vegetables. One of the popular pizzas at Bella Bacinos is the stuffed spinach pizza, as it was recognized by the Chicago Heart Association and placed in the Eat Well guide. The pizza is one of its most popular selling items and has been a number one seller at the taste of Chicago for the past 30 years. Bella Bacinos is open Tuesday through Sundays for lunch and dinner. Mondays are reserved for private events only.

Via Bella‎

Via Bella's friendly and romantic restaurant is found just a little over two and half miles from McCook in Countryside. The staff do their best to provide a warm atmosphere for all ages and occasions. Via Bella serves an authentic Southern-style Italian cuisine. Appetizers that you can dine on before your meal arrives include stuffed mushrooms, stuffed artichokes and clams. If you'd rather have something simple such as a sandwich, you may order Italian beef or chicken parmigiana. If you'd rather order a plate of Italian pasta, you can choose spinach or meat ravioli, linguine broccoli or cavatelli. For a more fulfilling meal, choose entrees like chicken marsala or chicken and ribs. Villa Bella also serves specialty pizzas or allows you to create your own as well. Choose from a double dough or a pan pizza. A wine list also is available. Lunch and dinner is served Mondays through Fridays. On Saturday and Sunday, only dinner is available. Carryout and delivery also is offered.
