Gander Island River Log Cabins

Gander Island has two log cabins on the bank of the Shenandoah River, each with a bedroom and loft. Amenities include a fireplace, living room with futon bed, hot tub, satellite television, charcoal grill and small kitchen with all appliances except oven.

Canoe rentals are available at Shenandoah River Outfitters. Fishing and fly fishing can be done at the Shenandoah River, Hasksbill Creek and Lake Arrowhead. Shenandoah National Park and the Appalachian Trail nearby have many well-marked hiking trails.

Brookside has nine log cabins, each with fireplace, refrigerator, coffee maker, hot tub, queen-size bed, and is decorated in upscale country decor. There are no phones or televisions in any of the cabins.

Brookside Restaurant is adjacent to the cabins, serving home-style cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Canoe and fishing outfitters are located nearby to provide you with equipment for enjoying the water activities at Shenandoah National Park.
