Grand Slam Pizza
This pizzeria, one of two local options, is located right in the center of town just off of Highway 290, and offers up a pretty basic pizza-based menu. Customers could order, for example, a side of spaghetti or visit the salad bar (offered as a one-trip option or the never-ending all-you-can-eat option), but the best bet is to stick to the pizzas, which come highly recommended and are quite affordable.

Pappa Joe's Pizza
Pappa Joe's is the other local possibilities for Italian cuisine, located just east of town on Highway 290 (there used to be three options, but KJ's Sicilian Style Pizza has since closed down). This is a place for pizza lovers, nothing more, and some locals swear by it as the only option in Dripping Springs.

Trattoria Lisina
Just a few miles southwest of Dripping Springs in a town called Driftwood. Fans of Italian cuisine will be pleased to find this trattoria and to be able to sample its extensive menu. While pizza is, of course, on the menu, this is not just a pizzeria but instead a full-blown restaurant with antipasti options for starters, more than 10 pasta and soup primi dishes (also a starter of sorts in Italian culture), and an equal number of main dishes including a delicious Osso Buco and a Bisteca Fiorentina dish for two. Guests also can enjoy a selection of authentic cheeses and deserts and some impressive coffee concoctions.

Marco's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
A bit further south still, in the town of Wimberley, where you also can find a Pizza Hut if hard-pressed, Marco's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria provides an intimate setting and diverse fare. Open for lunch and dinner, a meal at Marco's tends to be reasonably priced. Reviews vary, from those who love the warm, friendly atmosphere and Americanized Italian food to those that feel authenticity and freshness are being needlessly sacrificed as is, some claim, the service when the restaurant fills up on the weekends. That being said, Marco's has its die-hard fans as well and is likely worth a look.
