Niemeyer's Rugged River Resort
Back in the day, fur traders, loggers and Native Ojibwa called this campsite home. Now, Niemeyer's Rugged River Resort steps back into history daily on the river bank of the Mississippi River. The 200-acre natural surroundings of the resort remain relatively untouched from its 1930s conception. Guests experience the paradise as the trappers did. Hikers and bikers access the Paul Bunyan Trail on the resort's mile-and-half wilderness trail. Be sure to check out their bike rentals.
