Visitors to Hayward, Wisconsin, have many options when it comes to enjoying outdoor recreation. Hikers and campers can enjoy the nearby Chequamegon National Forest. Mountain bikers will enjoy riding the Hayward Cluster's 51 miles of trails. Road cyclists will be able to enjoy Greg Packers Ramble, a 31-mile loop that starts and ends in Hayward, or they can circle Lake Chippewa on the 27-mile trail named Hayward Lakes: Where Eagles Soar.

The Grand Pines Resort is located on Hayward's Round Lake, and offers guests 10 hotel rooms and 21 cabins. Mountain Bikers will be only eight miles from the group of trails known as the Hayward Clusters.

The Flat Creek Inn and Suites has three types of rooms, and three types of suites, for guests to choose from. All rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, cable television with Showtime, and wireless high-speed Internet. Some suites also have a whirlpool. Amenities include an indoor heated pool, an eight-person hot tub, and an on-site eatery and saloon with pool tables. Flat creek is about 30 miles from Chequamegon National Forest and its many hiking trails, while road cyclists will find that they are only five and a half miles from Greg Packer's Ramble and the Where Eagles Soar trails.
